I got an occasion reboot even when I ran completely stock after VZW pushed the Froyo update. This was before I ever did anything to my X...I mean it was completely stock like out of the box, just like VZW shipped it to me.
I will have to say, I don't spend the time doing an sbf everytime I install a new rom...way to time consuming. If I did that, then I would never try any roms, I would just stay on stock. I do everything else you mentioned except the dalvik cache wipe...haven't found where to do that yet. Haven't seen it in CWR.

Thanks! Will check that out next time I install a new rom, which looks to be pretty soon. Going to test out a few of these other ones.

Since Shujii is Blur-based as well, why would you take the suggestion for that over Darkslide X? (Just out of curiousity I'm not hating on you for it, in fact I'm tempted every day to try Shujii as well, I just want to know what I stand to gain)

I wanted to try it because I wanted better battery life. I've never tried Darkslide though so I can't comment on it. I did not like Sjuji at all though. It really is a ROM that is lacking so dont know what all the hype is/was about it.

I'm getting great battery life on Darkslide for what it's worth, but I have nothing to compare it to besides stock GB. Seems about the same to me. I also have the extended battery so...
If you do decide to try it, let me know what you think in comparison to Shujii

Yea it's Blur-Based GB just like Shujii, thats why I quoted you, because you quoted me asking if Darkslide was Blur-based and then frowned when you learned it was, but then you turned around and installed Shujii which from my understanding is also a Blur-based GB ROM

Ok I tried Shuji cos I heard omfg!!zzz55%!! on the battery life. I immediately had data issues both 3G and Wifi. It came with an OLD version of the android market and just felt meh, like a wip ROM and not a complete one. I got rid of it within a half hour of flashing it.
Then i went back to CM7 and its not bad. Though I want to try out the supercharger script cos it does seem a bit laggy at times with lpp.
As for Darkslide, how good is it? Is it fast? How is battery life etc? I will certainly miss 1% battery increments damn you Motorola!

Well, I can't compare the battery life on Darkslide to any other custom rom. But for me it's about the same as it was on stock GB. The rom is super fast, and I like the look and feel of it. I havn't had any data issues since the first day I flashed it. (On the first day it was doing some funky stuff but it seems to have fixed itself).
I use Juicedefender and have the extended battery for my X, so I'm probably not the best person to ask about battery life. But it is a general consensus around here that 2init roms (like CM7) get worse battery life than Blur-based GB roms (like Darkslide) so if that is your primary concern I would recommend giving it a go. As for the old version of the market, all you need to do is let the market update to the new version and that problem is gone
The old version is included because it is skinned and some people prefer the old style to the new style. I didn't care personally so I just let my market update.

I hear you on all that. Yeah most of the 2nd roms suck on battery life, but certain scripts and using JD help. Im on CM7 now and battery life is actually not all that bad. Im currently using build number 60 and all is good. Wishing for a working camera is a lost cause and Im ok with it, for now, until I get a new phone.
The market thing is just an oversight or laziness on the part of the devs. Its a shame since most roms include this. The one thing that makes me not want to load darkslide is because it has blur, and, has not been updated since June as far as I can tell.
