I need help deciding ugh!!!!

I currently have a Hero and love it but now it is time to move on. I am with Sprint and I am torn between three choices.
1. Epic
2. Evo
3. New phone around the corner?
My quandary is as follows: I will hate to get rid of the HTC Sense UI but I know there are ways around that in the market. I like the size of the Evo screen but love the super amoled screen on the Epic (I have heard more 4.3

I would wait. The Epic and Evo are going to be outdated soon. My fiance has an Epic and I have an Evo. Both phones have their pros and cons but the Epic doesn't even have 2.2 yet. I am suspect that Samsung is ever going to keep up with Epic updates. Once HTC has a new phone, the EVO updates might slow too.

HTC EVO Shift 4G - Android Forums

There is where you can go for the rumers about the new "EVO shift" or HTC Knight, which ever ends up being the final name. I personally would hold out till early next year for the next big phone. HTC's new sense UI is pretty sweet and has yet to make it to the EVO.

I have an EVO and it's great. The Epic is a great phone but with 2.1 still on the system and a delayed update process that is taking months I would recommend the EVO. It doesn't get much better than this. Besides the next phone is probably months or almost a year away if we haven't seen/hear any true rumors. The EVO Shift doesn't seem like it's going to be a great superphone anyways.

We are talking about HTC here, not Apple. A year away? LOL, come now, there will never been more than a year between new phones. I would personally wait as the EVO is already 6 months old but that's just me. From now on I am set on picking up phones the week they come out. I learned my lesson by buying a Palm Pre 6 months after it came out and longing for the EVO just a few months later (luck with a BB black tie claim got me a new evo in June anyway). Had I bought the Pre the day it came out, I would have been eligible for an upgrade around the time of the EVO. Being happy with sprint service, I have no problem upgrading yearly.

I snagged my EVO off of eBay for a great deal and it was brand new. I didn't use my upgrade and I'm eligible for the full $150 (2-yr) upgrade come August 2011. My EVO will definitely last me until then. By that time, there SHOULD be a bad ass Tegra 2 phone available on the market. I'm just hoping that Sprint is smart enough to get in on it.

Thank you for your responses. I think I will wait but it may hurt a little. Maybe I will just have fun and root my Hero while I wait.

You do realize it's not up to the mobile provider correct? It's up to the manufacturers to create a CDMA version of a phone...hence why Verizon is still "hoping" for the Iphone...

Not entirely true in regards to Verizon 'hoping' for an Iphone. Legal Litigations played a major role. Do you really think if Apple had the legal abilites to sell their phones to a whole half of the world they wouldn't have already done so?

Production of a CDMA Iphone won't be an issue from one of the biggest innovators known to mankind. (hence I didn't say inventor)

@J03 - yes, I expect it to be a while between HTC superphones. HTC is not Motorola and does not manufacture on a scale close to Motorola. Besides it took like 4 months for the EVO to come out once they started advertising the phone! I felt like I was on the pre-Order list forever!
