I need help from someone that can trust me...

okay right this is what happens which i think may be the source... when i hard reset and go to log into a google account... its says connection can not be established... however once i skip the setup wizard... i can log straight in... any ideas?
 
= Restore to factory settings.
= press next on setup wizard then join my wifi
= log into google account
= finish wizard and restart ohone
= gmail syncs fine
= gtalk will not load

have done this on 3g and wifi

update --- gtalk works now... for the first time ... now testing market place...
 
OMG ... All works fine!!

this is the first time i have done it this close to my router... could that be the case? or was it because AndroidSPCS logged into the account??

It was the magic of my multiple Android phones that did it all. :D:D

This is why I'm an Android addict, and my Android phones love me.

The only thing different from now and the other 50 times is that you logged into my account (well my finacee's account) and that im closer to my WIFI

HOW BIZARRE

PS. This is why im an iPhone addict... i know how to use them inside out... but i am considering going for the htc desire (or what ever the new htc is) when my contract gets renewed...

For future reference, try doing that without the SIM card.

I logged into the account on my Captivate which is currently lacking a SIM card (it's in my Blackberry at the moment), on wifi only. That may have validated Gtalk / Market somehow.

I have iPhones too, iPhone 2G, 3GS, iPod Touch 32GB. But I'm waaaay passed iOS now. Android for me only!!! :p:p

i tried that but it closed setup wizard and said insert sim... then i had to reopen setup wizard... i think it was due to poor wifi signal

Could be. In that case put the phone on Airplane mode, and then try it on wifi only. That will also prevent the SIM / 3G from interfering.
 
Remember - when weird and insane things happen on wifi - reset the router.

Also - Wifi Analyzer, free in the Market. Swipe left/right for multiple pages. Your neighbor might be on the same channel as you - and your phone may be more sensitive to that.

Have seen both often.
