Im working with a zte merit i have net10 service i want to switch to tmoble truely unlimited plan i had tmoble send me a new sim card but when i insert it says the sim card is locked through the provider what do i do to get it to work

Hello letmedie, and welcome. Net 10 and T-Mobile need different sim cards now. There was a time when they'd work interchangeably. You should take the card to the carrier you want to be with and tell them you want an unlocked sim. They may charge you for that, and they may also advise you to return the sim to Net 10 so they can provide a T-Mobile sim.

Technically if I'm not mistaken getting a phone unlocked now is illegal
