Root I need help with villian 3.0 rom

This normally would be under the all things root section.
Until it gets moved though, I'll help as best I can!
First off, did you wipe the phone before or after flashing? That's a definite must whenever flashing a new ROM.
Next, did you clear the dalvik cache? That's another must.
After you do both of those through recovery, if it still messes up then try re-flashing the ROM.

this is what i did in entirity
1. rooted and put in cwm
2. put zip on sd card
3. wipe /data/factory reset
4. wipe cache
5. install zip from sd card
6. chose the villian 3.0 zip
7 powered off

then it loaded up fine but it said i had no baseband home and menu wont work wifi wont connect..i am lost =[

That's really strange...
Have you seen any reported issues on the ROM's thread?
Otherwise, all I can think of is trying another ROM. I'm on the UnNamed ROM right now, and so far so good!

Edit: You may want to try flashing another modem (perhaps a stock modem) that is compatible with the ROM, and a compatible kernel as well.

Sorry to take so long- but I found your issue!
When I first saw your post, I was on mobile so I didn't follow the link.
Once I did, the problem was clear: the ROM you're using isn't for our (Sprint) version of the Galaxy S2!
You see, most Galaxy S2s globally are GSM, and thus have firmware and modems designed specifically for GSM radios.
Following your link, I can see that you were in the Samsung Galaxy S2 XDA forum (which is for the global variant).
Our beloved Epic 4G Touch has its own XDA forum here: Samsung Epic 4G Touch - xda-developers
With ROMS here: Epic 4G Touch Android Development - xda-developers
As far as flashing is concerned, you did everything just the right way! ...You just used the wrong ROM.
Pick a ROM from the Epic Touch forum, and have a blast :)

JCampbell is exactly right. You are having problems because you flashed a ROM that is not for your phone. Make sure you get one that is for the Epic 4G Touch and you should be fine.
