Root I need some help...

Ok so im rooted with TBH's Tranq 3.7.0 rom..i want to get TBH's leak of gingerbread .595..i read that you have to have TBH's gingerbread leak with built in root...so i dl'd that leak and it says you have to have 2.3.340..now im still on 2.3.340 but just rooted...my question is: do i still have to sbf to stock 2.3.340 or can i just install the gingerbread leak with root without sbf'ing?

If you are on .340 stock (doesn't matter if you are rooted but must be stock otherwise) then you can go ahead and flash the 3 part leak first before you flash any of the newer leaks. Keep in mind the flash backups of Froyo once on Gingerbread, you will have to SBF to get back to Froyo.

Ok so i did the update and it updated perfect im now on 4.5.573...now im trying to do the leaks but wen i go into bootstrap recovery all i get is a blank screen..ive done a battery pull but still nothing...what do i have to do..mind you im trying to get my phone the .595 leak

you might need to install droid 2 bootstrapper, i was having the same issues when i did a leaked version of GB and when i downloaded D2 bootstrapper and used that to get into CW recovery it worked i hope that helps

You can either uncheck USB debugging and try DX bootstrapper again or use D2 bootstrapper. Once into CW you can go ahead and flash the newest leak which is .595,no need to flash any of the other leaks.

Make sure u have busybox installed . And then +1 to what drag said. I had to uncheck usb debugging. And also used DROID x bootstrap. (I dl'd both bootstraps though and use the one Tht works)

I did the unchecking of usb debugging and it worked. I got the gingerbread .595 deodexed version and it is great..thanks for your help
