I need some widget recomendations...

Other than clock and weather...the clock and weather widgets are nice but pretty much just for show IMO, I mean how many times to we need to see the time? It's on the Lock screen and on the title bar. The weather I use weather channel for.


Other than weather though I am having a hard time finding any really nice looking widgets. I am still using the analog clock!

I have been using APW for a while, and it is pretty awesome. You can download custom themes from the Market for it, right now I have the ICS theme.

I tried APW but didn't really like it. Guess I was spoiled by Gemini Calendar on my OG Droid. I was really happy when the dev finally updated it to work on ICS. I really like the simple agenda widget since I don't have a corporate type schedule to keep up with. The calendar itself might not be the prettiest available but it is very intuitive and fast to use when setting up events.

I used Minimalist Text widget to make all the weather/clock/date widgets. Other than that, I just have my dock and one folder with Simple Text icons in them on my home screen, one large Agenda Widget on the left screen (college classes with due dates, etc) and one large Google Reader widget on the right screen. The Reader widget isn't very nice looking, but I'm happy with the rest.

Beautiful Widgets and BeWeather are good clock and weather apps to have.

My sight is not what it use to be, now add a few beers to that and I need a big clock.

beautiful widgets and hd widgets are good to go. beautiful widgets has WAY more appearance options to get the look you like.

only bad thing about BW's is that the weather data updates either from google weather or accuweather-which both suck royaly. HD widgets lets you get weather data from the weatherchannel.

What are you looking for?

There are calendar widgets, music widgets, twitter widgets, facebook widgets, contact widgets, news widgets, etc. It really depends on what function you are looking for.
