i really want my evo to be unrooted. i used the unrevoked method. i just need to know how to do it. my evo isnt damaged and ive already tried a factory hard reset. if anyone could help, it would be awesome.

thanks a lot, i just dont use the superuser permissions and if anything happens to it i dont have to worry. also i can always re-root if need to. anyway thanks a bunch

No problem. If you don't need/want root, there's nothing wrong with removing it. Just remember, root will not always be easy to get back if you unroot, then proceed to accept OTA updates as they are released. Keep that in mind if you ever want to root again.

To truly unroot you first need to flash the "Unevoked S-On" tool. It can be found on unrevoked's site, xda_developers.com, ppcgeeks.com, etc. Search for it. Once you have that file, place it on the root directory of your sd card and flash it like a custom Rom. After that you can then use you pc/laptop to run the stock Sprint ruu which Can be downloaded at shipped-roms.com.
