And unless I read it wrong, none of them were leakers. Lol ok so that sounded bad. I'm starting to think that the leakers might not get the ota cause we already have it with v3.which is fine. I was just hoping to get the ota so it would fix a couple problems. All in all I am extreemly happy with 2.1v3. Huge difference from 1.5
 
There are dozens reporting getting the OTA in another poll here, but it seems to be uncertain whether some of them read the poll correctly..

..and then there was a report of some just lying in the poll.. :rolleyes:

I've looked around other forums and have counted a total this morning of 13 reports of receiving the OTA, ten here and three at two other forums.

I got voice to text when i received the 2.1 update (was on 1.5). you do have to download a patch of sorts, but it is there.
 
2.1 does not have live wallpaper. I don't remember seeing anywhere that it was supposed to.But, I'm old, so don't go by me.

from what I read Live wall paper is in the 2.1 market and you can dl it but it won't work that well on the Eris.
 
The term, "live wallpaper" made me think back to earlier in my working career.

I used to work in a mental health facility. Saying "live wallpaper" in there would likely have caused complete, unbridled, rampant, screaming, eye-gouging chaos.

I got the update very early this morning and I wish there was an option for "meh, I guess it was worth the wait." I voted "worth the wait" but I am not blown away. I had used 2.0 on the Moto Droid I had for almost a month before my Eris so I kind of knew what to expect. I do like having nav on my phone in case I forget my Garmin. I like the reorganized Marketplace and a few of the other nice-ities in 2.1. We'll see how I feel longer term. My phone has been laggy as heck. There are no phones available locally here for at least the next three to four weeks that I would even think about changing my Eris out for. So I will see how 2.0 plays on my Eris before I jump all willy nilly on another phone.

How was your phone running prior to the OTA?
 
Here in the middle of Idaho and got the update early this morning.
Voting worth the wait because I have been waiting since Christmas.
So far-So good with the exception of the weather force closure issue.

Sorry. I guess I should have clarified that a little better. Prior to the OTA, my phone has been really laggy especially the dialer. To the point I was getting sort of frustrated and considering dumping the phone. I have only been running the OTA for a little while now (I couldnt keep my eyes open more than an hour after I installed it). So the jury is out until I have had more time to use the phone.

*knock on wood* So far I havent had that issue.
