I really need help.

Hello. I have a Samsung Captivate. I tried to update my phone to Froyo. But it failed, so I attempted an emergency recovery but it won't let me do it. So now I can't turn my phone on. The screen is just black and it shows a phone, a yellow triangle with an ! in it, and a computer. What is this? Please help.

basically for some reason something went wrong during the update so you need to flash the correct firmware onto your phone.

You can find the Firmwares on the internet reasonably easily.

Dont panic too much the Galaxy phones are pretty difficult to brick.

Well, it's actually stuck on the downloading screen, now.
Is there any other way to fix it?
My computer isn't even reading my USB.

I would hold down the power button along with the volume buttons. Do a complete restore from tue menu that appears. Should get u back to 2.1
