Help I really need your help

currently i'm using oppo F1. the phone it self is fantastic i'm loving it. But the problem is the screen. i thik it's been a while the screen have this purple smudge along the edge. the touchscreen just perfect no delay or lag but when i increase the brightness... i can see the purple smudge.. what is wrong with my screen?
now i'm trying to do the rice method i think it might be water damage. because i went to gym with my phone maybe it exposed to moisture..

somebody please help me i'm afraid that my phone screen is kaput (T^T)

idk y'all i always on my lowest brightness so i didn't notice the purple smudge.. but last night when i turn it to full brightness i was like "oh man.." i'm afraid that this purple smudge will spread and totally change my phone screen to purple

Toughened/tempered glass, even GG4, won't prevent shock from a fall damaging the LCD. It's scratch-resistant not impact-absorbing. Unfortunately your description does appear ti indicate some damage to the display panel itself.
