Root I think i have bricked my phone :(

Newbie
I had already rooted my phone and was using UB-1. For trying jetmod updated the recovery to cwm 5 by varun. Everything was fine but as soon as i switched off the phone there is no display even while charging and the phone doesn't switch on. Need Help...:confused:
 
have removed battery and tried starting it again.. tried sp tool also... nothing worked...
anything else that could help...
i just tried cwm by changing recovery in sp flash tool.. everything worked fine till there and i also got into recovery mode.. but after that when i switched off its not getting switched on again... sp flash tool is not able to recognize the device...

out of the other two guys who bricked their phone do you have any idea whether they are able to find out any solution yet.. mine is hard bricked as i am not getting any display or light in keypad while switching it on :-( (correct me if i am wrong)
 
post ur problem on [ forum . china - iphone . ru ] . guys over there says mediatek software / hardware is impossible to kill .
EDIT : maybe ur battery is dead . try getting a new battery . :P hope this option works .

No it wont coz when I bricked my a75 after changing motherboard it works fine. There was no battery problem.
 
Keep the battery out; connect the phone to the computer.

Run SP flash tool.

When the computer starts searching for your phone (for flashing), insert the battery.

Hope this solves.

i tried what you said... my pc is detecting the phone(can't say exactly phone) it is detecting that a usb device is plugged in but sp flash tool can not detect it... what can i try next any idea??

what you did after bricking your phone... took it to the service center or anything else?

can i try JIG... does it works on hard bricked phone??

mine also went dead after flashing recovery.img by varun.. can't say that only this is the reason ut this was the last thing i did :P

pc is detecting the phone but its not showing in device manager

I flashed with mmx scatter file and ticked only recovery and after opening recovery I cleared dalvik cache and battery stats and restarted and surprisingly it was dead. I visited service center and they changed its motherboard (in 1day mmx very quick these days :D)

ohkkk the same thing i did and restarted the phone and its dead...
 
There is nothing to work on recovery :rolleyes:
If it was recovery problem, it should brick all devices.
Certainly this is hardware failure.
 
ohhhh great then i think that i'll also have to visit darn service center.. No other option :-(
Anyone having any idea which service center i should visit in chennai (am new to chennai and living in outskirts) :-(

Then I do some experiments and I succed to install jetmod 3.0
But procedure is first I flashed with recovery. Img then meny tims press home key vol.up n power butten bt nothing is works then I install rom tool box from play store and his enter to me in cwm besed recovery then I sucessfully install rom jetmod 3.0 bt I have no other idea how to use it and I am see a new app upgrade me to smart phone and no rom update available in it
is this ota app??

because you say @varun you pused ota update to 3.0.2

Don't worry I have faced similar problems... So flash tool will recognize... Try to just connect the cable after count down to search the phone..sp flash tool must work... I also faced it.. Any problem, contact me..
