Help I think my G2 is tidally locked D:

I did a factory reset on my G2 since things weren't working right. I wasn't getting any HSPA data connection in my area anymore, or I would get like 10kBps download speed, then when I moved around Houston, I would get like 200-250 kBps download, but my upload would be 230-270 kBps. It was proportional to my download, but was always higher. I found out that a car hit a Tmo tower in my area and at the same time Tmo is working on the HSPA so that's why my HSPA is on the fritz for those who are having similar problems.

Now here's the BIG issue. My Tmo SIM card will not work with my G2. At first it wouldn't read the SIM card, but then after it finally read, it wouldn't connect to any service.

When I searched, I was told under both AT&T and Tmo that my SIM is not registered for this Network. So I think I tidally locked my G2 somehow, though I don't know how, since it's not rooted and I don't need to root since I don't know what's the point.

Ima go to Tmo, again. I'm sure they're tired of seeing me, and see if I can change my SIM card. Hopefully that works. D':
