Help I think my lg esteem is truly bricked

I was trying to update my Lg esteem from metro pcs. I followed the download and instructions from LG Esteem Update - 03/07/2012 - Official LG Phone Forum. The program finished analysis and download. When it got to update, at 7%, my lg esteem screen timed out and then this appear on the screen "Download is in progress. Do not disconnect cable." Afterwards i waited for more than 30 miuntes and the program stayed at 7% of updating. Then i decided to disconnect the cable and the phone remain in the "Download is in progress. Do not disconnect cable." screen. Even when i take out the battery and place it back in, the same screen appears. I try using the Lg mobile support tool again, but it stop at 40% on analysis. Can someone help me save my phone!

Hello and welcome to the forums . Sorry to see that u are having trouble with the esteem . Now i see that u are saying its Bricked. My question is what would make u think its bricked. Second question is why would you unplug the device while it was downloading this process takes from 15 to 30 minutes depending upon your internet . Now to be on the good side of things i hope the Ravens win this weekend don't you and i don't have gieco nor allstate . Let me stop playing your device can be repaired let me ask you which build are you running zvb or zvd

The reason i think its brick because the phone won't charge the battery anymore every since i tried the update...so basically is fully discharge now. Yet the phone screen still turn on with the "don't disconnect the cable" when i plug it in the USB from the computer or outlet. When i load up the lg mobile support tool, it says ZBA build.

When you have your phone plug in lg mobile support those it still give you an option to update your phone?

The error message i'm getting is "device not supported". Btw, when analysis get to 40%, at that moment is checking the phone number and i'm not sure if this phone uses a sim card because metro phones is known for not using sim.
name: LG esteem(metro pcs)
Make: LG
Model: LGMS910
and my my internet connection is excellent.

The problem with this solution is how can i downgrade to firmware ZVB when my firmware is currenlty ZMA, the one before that, basically its like im upgrading then right?

Correct-that's why I suggested to use the second document in the post-Emergency PB(phonebook) recovery. That is the fix you need:)

the post-Emergency PB(phonebook) recovery failed at 54%.
Process: Emergency
SubProc: Masterbin Download
Cause: Retrying burning : Time out 5000 mili sec, nRetry count: 3

Hmm..have never seen that error before in 50+ times helping people/or doing the procedure myself.
At this point you might as well take it to a corporate store and return it. It happened while trying to update the firmware/not root related so they should exchange it for you.

well i didn't give up, i kept trying to do the recovery and every single time i did it, it went up a couple of percent more till i did it the fifth time, then it worked! Thank you everybody, you guys helped me save my phone!!!!!:D
