Help I think my Optimus V has had it!

After over a year, I think my Optimus has had it! I can't even use the browser or receive text messages because the phone is low on storage! Is there any way to clean this thing out? I have dropped all excess apps and still nothing. I only have a few apps that I use, no games or anything! Nothing left to dump.

What should I do?

If you're not rooted, you can factory reset. Backup everything on your SD card to your PC/laptop hard drive beforehand just to be safe.

As long as you're using Google for your contacts, they will all be restored automatically as soon as you add your Gmail account back to the phone.

Did you try clearing the cache and data in your browser?

+1^ I clear the cache everytime i exit my browser,you would be amazed with how much space, MB 's the browser uses.

Also mms messages,if you have alot saved on your phone, they take up alot of space.
