I Too Returned My Evo =( Signal Issues

Did you guys get refunds on the phone promptly? I am at 2 1/2 weeks and still nothing. Customer service says they have no record of receiving the phone even though I have a tracking that says they did the first week of June. Have to go through my credit card next!

I went with the Razr Maxx and Verizon too and it is a sweet setup!

I never mailed mine in. I bought it from radioshack and returned it to radio shack. Got my money back no questions within 30 day return policy. On a side note if you want ICS on your razr i have a thread for that here:

I went ahead and returned my Evo V 4G to Best Buy this evening after 3 days of ownership. I liked it at first... but signal strength was horrible at my residence and the phone started showing no service upon power on and resumed service only after pulling the battery. I'm definitely not pulling the battery every time to keep a $300 phone going.

Went to Walmart and got a prepaid T-Mobile Exhibit II 4G for $174 and got on Walmart's exclusive T-Mobile unlimited data plan for $30. It's definitely not as much phone as the Evo V 4G... but at least I have "rock solid" voice and 4G at home now. The TMO tower is only about half a mile away. This is going to work out very well and I couldn't be happier.

At least BB refunded the full purchase price of the phone and didn't deduct for the free $35 VM card that I activated. They didn't question the return one bit.

I'd definitely try another Evo V 4G in the future when they eventually get the "bugs" worked out... but just not at this time.

Signals the same for me as it's been with the OV and MT, cell is ok, 3g is crap(as in 56kbps dialup rates in most areas that I go).

Forgot to check 4g when I went to the "local"(50m N other side of city) microcenter to pick up the parts for my new desktop. (Microcenter ended up being slightly cheaper than newegg, amazon, etc. shipping v. sales tax total... 3930k rocks.)

i used to have a boost subscription i saw this signal fluc problem but it didnt affect my usability, i returned my phone and went to t-mobile for about a week i had a gs3 but my service in my area is terrible they havent even upgraded the towers from 2g, i used to like t-mobile their not a bad company but they have their weak spots, i switched to virgin before i get tied in to a contract and im happy i did my signal seems actually a little stronger than it was on boost,i see the signal fluc problem on virgin but it doesnt affect my usability, i think this is an isolated problems, maybe faulty radios?

Im seeing all these returns and stuff like that, but before you returned it did you think that all you probably needed was to root the phone so you can flash the proper things so that the problem wouldn't show anymore.

Android is all about customization, I get that. But "rooting" and "flashing" should not have to be done for a phone to function properly. I'm not modding my phone just to be able to make calls and text. That's ridiculous.

This is exactly how I feel. When you buy something it should work out of the box.I dealt with this error because I really wanted unlimited data but my 4g is so slow now it feels like I'm on dial up.I can't return mine but will be selling it after this billing cycle is over and will shop around for a new carrier

I feel like im in the same boat as you guys returning this phone signal strength is horrible you guys have any ideas how to make a cell phone booster they're really expensive so I don't wanna buy one

I did the pri and prl update to sprints 60690. Mine works fine in the mountains of pa I also still have my triumph and the triumph has a wider wifi range but signals are the same
