Ok im looking to upgrade my phone soon but damn. Everytime I see a review for like The Amaze or Sensation or Blaze or One S. they all suck some have pretty screens but horrible battery life. Some have great cameras but have freezing problems. I was really leaning towards the HTC ONE S but wow no sd card and now some mini sim card as well? Some phones even are good phones but no accessories or even good cases from them.. Good lord help. What should I wait for what should I choose? THe phone im using now is my third. HELP!!!

Will ICS solve alot of these problems. I have heard its a nice smooth operating system.

Well I don't know much about all of the phones since I only have the HTC Mytouch 4G Slide. But the MT4GS is a decent phone. It has a 1.2 ghz dual core processor, a 3.7 inch super lcd screen(480x800 @252dpi), 8MP camera w/dual flash (takes awesome pictures with virtually no shutter lag and can record 1080p @30 FPS), slide out keyboard which is okay. It runs android gingerbread (2.3.4) with esspresso sense running on top of it. In my experience with the phone I have noticed no freezing up and it can run high end games fin with little to no lag. It might be stuck on gingerbread for a while though (although there are a lot of custom roms for it if your into rooting and stuff). The battery life is decent. It has a 1520 mAh battery, that I can get around 4 or 5 hours out of with moderate to high use (but mugen also makes a 3400 mAh batter I believe). It really depends on what you are looking for, but in my experience the MT4GS has been awesome! :D. If you have any questions about the MT4GS you can ask me or ask on the forum here or on XDA. This is my 2 cents. It really just depends on what you are looking for.

Yes I have a dual core now with a 4" screeen its a G2x. But sadly its been left by the wayside there isnt much at all for it and now even support and its not getting ICS.

Hmm well one phone that may be worth switching to would be the Samsung Galaxy S2 although I don't know how battery life is, but from what I have read and seen it's a good device with not many problems. Or you could wait to see if any quadcore phones are coming soon.

i was thinking the same thing but quad cores are going to be in europe and not here in the ONE dual core here only. I dont know if anyone is going to have a quad core in the usa.

wow thats a big screen and 2000mah battery nice. But its LG I mean in the past they make the product and the support is bad at best. 4414 score geeeezzzz

Well I think the SGS2 is the best you are gonna be able to get now (and it's getting ICS soon), but if you want to wait a few months then something better may come along who know. Also with my previous experience with LG (I've had the Rumor Touch and Optimus V) I personally haven't had any problems with them, but I do think that with the G2X they may have taken a hit.

I second this I have the mt4gs too, and I love it. I also agree with getting the SGS2, it is the only phone I would consider trading my mt4gs for.

hmm sounds like good choices going to research the SGS2. The G4X lookks great but its LG and well they seem to forget what upgrades are.

idk about you guys .. but imo the Sensation has one of best battery lifes on T-Mobile, i played around with my cousins, he easily got around 6-7 Hours on moderate use, he rooted it and installed custom Roms, idk know if your into that or not ... but who ever is looking to Move to T-Mo .. the Sensation is FREEE with 2 year contract :P

I'm in the same boat as you. I get a full upgrade on Monday. I'm going with the galaxy s2. Even though the phone is a bit old it's still a powerhouse. I like the HTC series til I saw imbedded battery and no micro sd. The advantage of the SGS2 also is that it has a userbase of over 20 million and like someone above posted will be getting ICS. Hopefully Tmo which is horrible at updates doesnt sleep on this and gets ICS to the device fairly soon. I have several friends that have the SGS2. If you don't use 4g, full brightness and bluetooth all the time you can easily get a full days worth of battery for it. I already bought a gtmax 3500 mah battery for it just in case I know I won;t be able to charge it and am on the road. Only 16 bucks shipped. Od seen screenshoots of people getting nearly 50 hours on a single charge!

I have a GSII on Sprint and I love the phone. My Tmobile upgrade isn't until September, but right now I am looking at getting the HTC One since it is supposed to be stock (no sense).

I also haven't had any problems with LG, but I never get updates from any OEMs. Even with my Nexus S, I was rooted and running custom ROMs. All OEMs are terrible about updates. ICS was released almost 6 months ago and I don't think there is a non nexus phone running it yet is there? So if timely OS updates are important the only phone you can consider is a Nexus.

Just so you know T-Mo is getting the One S and it does have sense. HTC One S? (T-Mobile)

Well in narrowing it down to a sgs3, G4x, or Htc one s or one x. Rumor says TMO WILL be getting the X. I have time now to wait as long as this G2x keeps working.

Well T-Mo is getting the one s for sure, but between the us version of the one x and one s there is very little difference. The sgs3 would be cool though if its coming to T-mo.

Either HTC phone is good as long as they unlock the bootloader. I am just hoping that in a few months a great phone comes out with Stock android on Tmobile or I will probably go windows phone.

Tmobile is my phone that I use for work so I don't do custom ROMs anymore. I refuse to buy a phone with Sense because it is such crap. And when I buy a phone I won't get one that has been out for more than a month since phones are outdated after about 6 months.

If I had to choose a crap skin on top of Android it would definitely be Samsung though. It is the best of the worst winner... If you can't wait for a Nexus and you need Tmobile, go for the GSIII when it is released.

Well ill just have to wait and see. The one s is really appealing but it seems no replaceable battery or sd card slow abd now a mini sim? The GS3 LOOKS GREAT being quadcore and karge screen and ICS, BUT also G4X BUT ITS LG. Not sure I want to buy from disc updates to the G2x for ICS. Only way I got gingerbread on this us,was asking me replacement has it.

Phone bricked.. Called T Mobile.. went through tear one customer service then to tier 2 tech support. WE Spent 42 mnutes while I was using another phone soft booting, settings changes, and then a factory reset as as well. The ohine got realllllyyy warm and based on everything we did its declared the phone to be dead. I asked what my options are since im a little over a year into my plan. nothing nada pay full price for a new phone He reccomended the HTC Amaze 4g or the Samsung Galaxy S2. I did quality because of my plan for a small down payment and pay it off over 20 months as well. So which one would you reccomend? I even have insurance and replacement on it but there are no phones avail at this time for replacement that isnt a G2X. But on the upside I get a full upgrade 2/15/2013. Maybe the GS3 then or something else.. We will probably be up to dual quad cores by then and 3D.

Well their both pretty similar... I guess it comes down to what skin you want (touchwiz vs. sense), and the amaze has a slightly better resolution. But they are both good phones from what I have read and seen.

I think it will boil down to the battery life and do I want a 4.52 display in my pockey not including a case. compared to the 4.3. I just saw a video comparison with the Iphone s. Wow did the Galaxy just crush it. Even the voice command on the samsung was better most of the time.

Are they going to allow quad cores on our networks? I have heard there were really struggling with getting them to work thats whats been the big delay. I read Europe was getting Quads we were getting duals.

I went with the HTC Amaze 4g. So far a really great phone.

The quad core has something to do with LTE I believe. Don't remember where I read the reasoning behind the dual vs quad cores on the different networks.
