Ok im interested in rooting only for the lag fix and not for anything else. From my understanding I need a computer to root and the lag fix can be done on my phone. I want to know what do I do after I root.

Let me rephrase that last question. What can I do after I root like without changing the rom? Or taking out bloatware

Ok I rooted using the mr cellphone unlocker but now it shows superuser access what is that?

I did but I don't understand much I just wanted to add a lag fix

Read up the next section in the How to Root sticky. It tells you about how to make a backup of your current ROM so if something doesn't go right you can just flash your current ROM and have things back to before something went wrong. I've had to do this myself too when I was messing with the lagfix.
Read up on Clockwork Recovery and download ROM Manager from market.
