Root I was rooted... and took the update :- ( ..please help?

I was already rooted and let the update install, all before coming on here to make sure it was ok... How do I get root back? What should I do? :confused:

Towelroot isn't working now for some reason. It worked when I first rooted my phone though.

Your going to have to get back to v3 using the downloader method then at that point root again. Other then that I have seen a rooted v4 version floating in these forums

I don't understand..I'm on V3 and currently rooted. If I take the V4 I will lose root? No other way to get root back on v4?

How/why do you downgrade ( to v3) inorder to upgrade to v4 with root?
 
Thanks, I got this message when I tried to download the ls740_zv4.zip though so I guess I'll have to try later..

I'm so glad I came and checked before allowing this update to occur on my rooted phone.

Question for OP. Did you have busybox or Superuser installed after you rooted with towelroot?

I'm curious if you lost root because of that OR if that will affect this update in anyway. I have Busybox on mine and I have this darn update staring me in the face. I stopped myself before ALMOST updating this morning and checked here. So now - I'm at a juncture of what to do. I don't have to do this update and am quite happy with my phone's performance as is.

1. IF I can update with Busybox and NOT loose root...I will.

2. Otherwise I just want to remove the damn update notice.

Any thoughts?...anyone :)
 
I lost root access, how do I go about doing the " [ROM] ZV4 updated stock ROM" method without already being rooted?
 
...ok guys thanks for pointing me in the right direction, problem solved I'm back to zv3 and I'm about to attempt to root again shortly : )
