I noticed the speaker isnt loud as the note 2 was i guess its because the speaker is now at the bottom? Also miss how the note 2 music player sound alive option had sounds u can choose which could make the sound even louder like choosing classic but now with my note 3 if i choose classic it makes the sound lower then normal :(

That was one of the two things I noticed ...speaker was very low ...and the damn s pen is so hard to get out...I expected a few things might be weird tho....I'll get used to it

I actually remember the S-PEN to be difficult to take out on my Note 2, initially, but after using for a couple months, it became easier.

My question is, in what positiion is the phone placed, while people are using the phone's speakers (and it doesn't sound as loud as the Note 2)? From all the reviews I've seen, they seem to say that the speaker placement makes for better/louder sound.

Reason I ask is, I believe part of the reason they placed the speaker on the bottom is due to natural amplification, when cuffing the phone (with the hand) while viewing in landscape view.

There were similar natural amplification benefits from the Note 2's having the speaker on the back. If one were to have a case with a kickstand or place the phone flat on its back or place it on a dock, the sound would naturally bounce off the surface and project sound (as if it were louder).

if i put my hand around the speaker yea it sounds louder otherwise it dont.

This Application is ONLY for phones running Gingerbread.
It will NOT work on any other version of Android but should work on ANY phone running Gingerbread (2.3).

I have the paid version on my note 2 with jelly bean and it works fine, it's worth the $1.99 IMO. I been using since my s3 now on my note 2, and soon on my note 3. Even though my note 2 is loud by itself I still use this from time to time!!!

I've perfected that technique since Windows Mobile pones, so I'm so used to that. I rarely need the speakers from the phone to be too loud, so this isn't something that'll bother me...but, I can definitely see how it would bother others.

Volume + won't work on anthing past 4.1. When I updated my N2 to 4.2 is borked Volume+ and several other audio tweaking apps - there is no fix for this, they will not work on 4.2 and above. I have the note 2 (not note3 yet) but the only fix I could find was to use Boeffla sound app, but you have to have a custom kernel to use Boeffla. It still won't crank as high as Volume+ did though. BTW, I am using Fauxkernel that works on the N2 and S3. Doubt there are any kernels for the N3 yet.

From this video the note 3 is louder than the note 2, however the note 2 has better midrange and better bass.
if u noticed he had his hand around the note 3 speaker when he did the test of course thats gonna make it sound louder but side to side the note 2 is louder i had the note 2 i know what im talking about.
