I would like some info on Wireless chargers

One of the key features that I liked about the Nexus 4 was the wireless charging. Having had problems with the usb port on my Samsung Galaxy Nexus, I liked the idea of just putting the Nexus 4 on a pad at night on my kitchen counter instead of plugging it in. After I purchased the phone, I then found out that it was some kind of a magnetic orb that you stuck the phone to and that people were complaining about the phone sliding off the orb. I looked on Amazon and saw a few other wireless chargers, but the reviews on them were less than stellar.
Browsing the N4 forums, I see very little about wireless charging. Are there any people out there that have purchased Non OEM chargers and if so, which did you buy and how do you like them?

I had a Zen wireless charger and it didn't work with a case. The LG 300 wireless charger for about $40 does work with my Nexus 4 and case.

aargh, I just ordered one last night after reading it did work with a case. I use a TPU case and that is what the posters said they had. Wish me luck.

Yes, good luck. I also have a TPU case and I had no such luck. Liked the size and everything about the Zen. Mind you mine was their smaller, new rendition. They had a larger, older model. If you're getting that one, perhaps it will work.

I will let you know how I make out. I also have the bumper case that came with it, I will try that as well.
 
I got it today when I came home for lunch. I plugged it in and put my phone on it with the tpu case. Bells went off and it said it was charging. I tried it a few more time and each time, it said it was charging. I left it on for about 10 minutes and it remained charging all the time. I will find out tonight (Tomorrow AM actually) how well it works.

Great!!!!! Your experience was better than mine. Mine didn't charge at all through the case but would without any case. Again you lucked out. Congrats.
 
Got up this am and the charger was off (No lights) Looked at the phone and it was only charged 96%. Stuck it back on the charger and it started charging again. 1/2 hour later it was off again, but this time the battery was charged 99%.

Go figure. Could just be a learning process.

At least yours works with a case.
