I'm just wondering how many of you are having. Sound playback issues, particularly music playback. I bought my first Awe and I was super impressed by the stock music quality and even more so with the SRS sound enhancements. I needed the money so i took that one back, but after going back to a 320x480 screen, I had to get another one. So now I'm experiencing audio problems, like random clicking and popping
Also a sound in the middle of music tracks that's sounds kinda like *FWOOEERP* LoL. I think that's how dragonheart put it. Anyhow I know it's a common issue amongst a few, just trying to figure out what's up, since I'm an audiophile and would love to have awesome sounding music again. Seems like an audio codec glitch or something, it'll do it when sounds get more intense and it also has difficulties keeping equalizer effects applied.

I too experience this both stock and with my rom, if u run a log there are audio policy errors i have yet to figure it out O_o
 
i have audio cracking/popping on keypresses sometimes. turning off srs seems to have reduced the occurrence. havent experienced any audio problems listening to music yet (i dont use stock player though).

Right on, it started bugging me so much that I deleted SRS and music FX, all together from the system. Of course it didn't do shit, but sometimes the issues do seem to occur less often, like you said, though I don't think it has anything to do with those two apps.
 
I think there's something going on with a capability conflict with any type of apps that utilize an equalizer, whether it's on or not. It seems something is conflicting with the way equalizer effects are applied. I'm guessing it has to do with ZTEs poor stock implementation of code to run the SRS settings, I think the first best way to test and see that the issue may be related to is to remove everything dealing with SRS. I don't know though, I deleted the SRS app itself and it didn't eliminate the problems

I got rid of the musicfx and SRS apps in /system/app then flashed Acid Audio which includes Beats and I haven't had any issues with the sound and my phone sounds sweet

Hows battery life?? I was thinking of adding acid to my rom:)
 
just tried acid audio v5 and my key presses were stilling cracking. maybe my install didnt go smoothly since i was getting a credentialmanagerservice_1_5 error on boot after acid was installed.

That's weird... I haven't had any problems on any of the phones I've tried it on
 
it happens so infrequently maybe you didnt notice?
try alternating between hitting the home button and the app drawer button for like a minute or two, the audio should crack at least a few times. if it doesnt then congrats on having 100% working audio lol.

I had probs at the beginning, but being an audiophile I had yo tweak the sound. I've just about every sound mod out there, but acid is the best out there because it includes Beats which was ported from htc
