Perhaps they're playing the Apple strategy? Using suspense to build up anticipation for the phone...

Truth be told, if they're actually doing something like that, I think they perfected it this time round

Personally I think its just a marketing timing failure... They had the big launch for the Jet and wanted to wait before they released another handset. Then I think they had unforseen problems and it got a bit too delayed.

It might have worked on alot of people, but alot of others have gone and bought a Hero now.

The Problem that Samsung have is that there are other Handsets i.e HTC Hero that people are buying instead because they have got feed up of waiting.

The main thing keeping the Galaxy a live is the onboard memory and the fact the the UI on the hero needs a bit more CPU power than the phone has.

Current rumor on the 02 forum is that 02 shops have started to tell people that it will be avalible on the 31st of August, so it has slipped an other week!

basicly 02 are pushing it back week by week so we have no idea when this phone will be out.

Now that HTC have updated the Hero and fixed the lag issue i think i will give it till monday if there is on sign of the galaxy then i will give up as i ahve waited since may and 02 have given me no news!

if any one else is look at the hero do not get it direct of T-mobile or Orange as they have upped their prices, Carphone warehouse have much better deals as do Mobile Phone Direct! you can also get it on Vodaphone but not direct.
