Help I9000M to Froyo ?

While I'm trying to upgrade to Froyo through Kies, it stopped half way and my phone ends up in downloading mode.

Ive heard that some people got their internal sd card fried, I rooted my phone with lagfix, should i upgrade to FROYO ?
