Root icarus message notification

Is there any way to take off the notification in my status bar that shows my messages, its sort of annoying

which message app are you using, stock or other?

Edit: this will work for any message app, go to messages and press the menu button, then settings. next find in the settings something about notifications and uncheck.

Nvm i realize i had to go to the stock messaging and uncheck the status bar notification, sorry for a pointless thread

And also for you notifications dont show 2 different notification when you get a message turn off the stock messaging notification by opening messaging, click menu, settings and uncheck Notifications and you can also uncheck Auto-retrieve.....

you can flat out hide the notification bar using golauncher. runs smoother than canvas too.
