Root Ice Cream Sandwich roms?

Has anyone heard about roms based on ice cream sandwich? I have been running Humble for a couple of months and I'm ready for something new.
 
I also don't think that we will actually see a real version of Ice Cream but someone should do a knock off right? Similar to how we had gingerbread way before the actual launch? I guess I could just be dreaming.

The problem is that we are missing a key part of the Charge's source code, the RIL. A Radio Interface Layer (RIL) is a layer in an operating system which provides an interface to the hardware's radio and modem on e.g. a mobile phone. In other words, without the RIL, you get no wireless service. ICS has been ported to the Charge but its useless because Samsung is holding back the source code. I've heard that the Nexus's RIL is damn near identical to the Charge's but so far no one has gotten it ported over and working yet. I for one remain positive that it'll happen eventually, its just a matter of time and people willing to tinker with expensive toys.
 
So yeah, check out XDA, Ice Cream Sandwich can now be flashed to the Charge (sans radio, so yeah, no phone calls). F the nay-sayers, it's only a matter of time now.

Camera/Camcorder on front and rear cameras
HDMI out
Auto-brightness

The above items are the only things not working. You can make phone calls now, just no mobile data, cameras, bluetooth or MMS.

Is this still accurate? Are we any closer to getting a fully working ICS for the charge?

Yes, most devs are gone. However a couple remain. Tweaked 3.0 is on its way. Via a terminal you can theme over with an ICS like setup. It works great and looks good. Just anther option...

It's not going to happen. The Charge has too little system memory to hold ICS plus Touchwiz. Plus it's an under powered dog compared to the latest phones. Plus they want us all to buy new phones so they can take away our unlimited data.
 
I'm wondering if the new Galaxy S Lightray on Metropcs might be of use. Looks almost identical to the charge but slightly faster cpu and a tv antenna. It is supposed to get ics at some point
