Root Ice cream sandwich root

How can I get Ice Cream Sandwich for my HTC Inspire (AT&T)? Of course, I need to root it first. Don't want to wait for AT&T or HTC (I am still with version 2.3.1, and they are very slow to move to Honeycomb, ICS would be even more slow). THanks.

Honeycomb is for tablets only,not phones.

You would need to root and then wait for someone to create a rom for your device.

I don't know the Inspire but I assume it's a 4g device? If so keep an eye on XDA in the Inspire 4g forum for an ics rom.


Btw the source code for ICS hasn't been released yet so it might be a bit of a wait before a rom becomes available,unless someone creates an SDK port.

Join the club. I want to root mine in order to get my tethering to work on ATT's network but am also waiting on an ICS Rom.
