Root Icon size

Why are some icons about half the size of others? Any way to change this.?

Mine is like that also i was wondering the same thing
I used a different launcher and all the icons are the same size it's the miui launcher doing it
 
I'm on miui, but I have gotten the same thing on other roms. From what I can tell from digging around the interwebz, is you have a launcher and that has an icon theme with it. You can download icon packs or themes that have the whole picture in that placeholder.

So I added the app launcher pro and a icon pack with it. It had a few more of the icons than I had before but I was stuck with a new launcher. I just removed it and said fooey to messing with it.

I just find it silly you have to download icon themes to make them full size.
 
Big icons are HD res and they are (maybe) sys apps (rom apps).
Small icons are Mid res and those are the apps that you have installed.
Since our phones are Mid res, they will be showing smallers than the rom appps.
