Help Iconia a500 to 3.1

I'm looking to upgrade my Iconia a500 to 3.1 but idk what's the process. Do I just do it directly? or do I have to root it then update it?

also, does anyone know when 3.2 is coming to the Iconia? Thank you!

It should prompt you when the update is available, and that seems to be different for everybody. You don't have to be rooted to get the official OTA. You could go to your settings app/about tablet/system update to check as well. If it finds an update just follow the on screen instructions, just make sure its got a full charge and plugged in...you don't want the update to be interrupted.
