On Galaxy S3, is there any way to lock or prevent icons from being moved once placed on a screen? My wife is CONSTANTLY moving her icons around (often to a different page!) and she doesn't know how it happens! I NEVER have this happen. I can only suspect that she is pressing the icon to long and accidentally sliding it to it's new location, tho I can't imagine how she would not notice doing so. I was just hoping there might be an icon set-it-and-lock-in-place feature or 3rd party app...any suggestions? Thanks!

You can download a new launcher like Nova and then lock the desktop in the settings. I don't know if you can lock the desktop in Touchwiz.

Go Launcher also has the lock but Nova is far better :thumbup:
Thanks for the alternate launcher suggestion...I would really rather not go there if possible just because of time to setup and learning curve. I hoped there was a setting to tamper-proof the desktop...although I honestly don't know how both my wife and mother-in-law manage to rearrange and remove some icons without knowing it, and when it's a widget with settings, its of course even more time to setup the widget again. Maybe another launcher might be worth the time.

Well with Nova you can "import" your current set up. Im surprised the stock launcher doesnt have a lock option though tbh. Ive never used it for more than a couple of minutes though
