Help Icons without a launcher?

I was shopping the play store for icon packs and noticed that they all require a launcher. I don't want to mess with the stock launcher features. So like the keyboard delima I had earlier, am I going to have to stick with the stock icons unless I install a launcher?

Pretty much, unless you root.

LG has themes to DL in the LG world store but they're pretty lame.

Why not try a launcher, if you don't like it just revert back. Nothing to lose...

I have a couple of launchers and I've tried them. Dang if the LG ui wasn't so nice this time around I wouldn't run into these conundrums.

There's an app called Icon Changer that may work for you.
It's a bit of a hack in that it only changes the icon on the homescreen and not the app drawer.

You can change the icons on a stock G3. Just long press the icon and a paintbrush will show up. Click on that and you cab change the icon.

I use Unicon. You can use all icon packs on the stock launcher. But you must be rooted.

I tried that but as we know, the choice of stock icons is very limited. :/

Yah. No root for me. Once I get the kinks worked out, I'll use one of my launchers again.
