Help Icons?

I have a htc evo and I was wondering if it is possible to change the way the icons at the top of my screen look..ie the battery, the signal strengh bars, the alarm clock....???

That requires root privileges and flashing a package that themes those components. Even then you should know what you're doing because this involves frameworks and frameworks must be compiled to work with the kernel your system is using. Android is designed so that no app can interfere with any other app, unless two or more apps are designed to interact, so even home replacement apps can't theme the statusbar and its contents.
