ICS 4.0.4 coming to UK?

I've heard ICS 4.0.4 has been rolling out to certain countries and some websites have even said it's already in the UK! I've been on the constant look out checking OTA and kies but nothing. Has anyone else received the update? Does it depend on the carrier as well?
 
If you're SIM free you should definitely have it, I updated the other day. But, if you are locked to a carrier it can take a little longer as they need to release with all the lovely bloatware.

Alternatively, you could upgrade to ICS using ODIN?

I'm signed to a contract so I'm guessing it's locked to the carrier? I wouldn't know how to find out.

Erm do I need to root my device for odin?
 
i was going to upgrade via ODIN but read you have to root for this one - is that correct? Didnt have to for xxlpy 4.0.3

I've checked out odin on the play store and it seems it does require a rooted device. That's as much as I know about the app
 
I'm currently stationed in Southwest Asia, and planning to get an unlocked international Galaxy Note, and when back in the States, probably look for plans with AT&T or T-Mobile (GSM)... I probably won't have ICS installed, and may not abe able to upgrade til I get back home, later in the Fall... Is the Galaxy Note, this current model, expected to get the 4.1 Jellybean update? If so, maybe this year?

Seems like AT&T gets all the first updates! Whether that is actually a good thing to be the guinea pig is up to you! From what I've read we are going to get JB but that won't be til the end of the year or early next year!
 
If you check SamMobile, you can see that 4.0.4 is not yet available for UK Notes. 4.0.3 has rolled out to all international Notes by now.

4.0.4 is only currently available if you have a Note with a CSC (Country sale code) for Singapore, Malaysia, and Germany. I check which firmware is available on a daily basis, you can do the same here.

This is getting more complicated than I bargained for aha! Thanks for the info! When I get my head around this it should come in to use!

Had the phone wiped and 4.04 installed by the local service centre today and so far it's running sweetly! Seems a lot less buggy than 4.03
 
I received mine and I'm on orange. At first it said I had an update and when I tried it said there wasn't one but once I checked via Kies it worked fine.

Now running 4.0.4
