ICS 4.0.4 update

Hey guys.. I keep on getting notification about the new update on my notification bar. The thing is I bought the gnex from a friend and he's already installed a from in it and root it. I'm fairly new at this whole android stuff so I'm just wondering if updating will cause any problems on the phone because I guess it's already "jail broken". Haha sorry I was previously an iPhone owner.

Are you sure it's not updates for your apps??
