ICS and Lapdock...

If you have the lapdock do yourself a favor and install .223 NOW!!!

It makes the lapdock actually useful and more like it should be, a tablet with a keyboard!!

After the last attempt I made, i have been leary of installing the leak, but boy are you guys makeing it sound good.

I have an Asus EEE Pad Transformer running ICS. After installing the leak on my Bionic, the lapdock UI looks almost identical to the tablet. Some things (Amazon Kindle is the main app) look even better on the lapdock.

After getting the tablet I thought for sure I'd sell the lapdock on EBay. But after running them side by side for a few comparisons, I think the lapdock has some advantages that make me want to keep it around (larger screen, keyboard is sometimes useful).

Lol - glad you like it - we've been saying that since .2233 (before .229).

Also, Webtop can be used with an ordinary HDMI cable connected to any HD device - no lapdock required.

Not sure what happened in your case, but I can assure you - ICS is the way to go on this phone.

Dang. I don't have a lapdock, and I would sure love to be able to buy one....

Is the lapdock browser on ICS registered as a desktop browser? One of the main things I like about the lapdock is the desktop Firefox. I know they took out firefox but wasn't sure how the browser worked in the new ICS lapdock mode.

Pissed, I hated my lapdock and sold it on ebay literally 1 or 2 days before I found out about the first ICS leak :(

I have the Lapdock 500 and it works well with some limitations with the Bionic. It has Firefox browser now. I am waiting for the ICS OTA. Has the Firefox browser been replaced in ICS?

No firefox on ICS. I use the stock browser or chrome. Stock seems to work for some websites where chrome does not. For me, I often switch to the desktop or classic view of most websites, still using the stock browser. I personally don't see the difference between this and using any Windows browser (except of course no java.)

Thanks Jerry, I use Chrome and the native browser on my Xoom with ICS and they work fine. I understand the lapdock is a lot better with ICS.

The problem for me is that certain websites don't offer a switch to full version and, even if they do, still register it as a mobile device which limits some options. At least, that's been my experience on my tablet (Xoom wifi) with ICS
