Root ICS (Android 4.0 AOSP) beta available

Courtesy of VirtuousDev, a beta build is now available for the Desire Z. Note that this is not yet fully functional; the camera doesn't work and there are quite a few other minor issues still to be ironed out. However it is definitely usable, appears stable, and performs very nicely.

It seems that a lot of developers creating their own ICS roms are having issues with camera, data, and calling. I hope they can figure everything out so us left-behinds can catch up.

The camera is always an issue with ports from other devices due to hardware differences. Data, both 3G and wifi, works fine though, and a couple of test calls to and from the handset revealed no problems there either.
