No, I don't think they will. I am just mostly doing some idle speculation about how VM/Boost are getting some high end (although year+ old) devices and 4G for the low end market. The Evo 3D is still a remarkable device, and I wouldn't trade it for most (if not all) of the phones currently carried by VM/Boost. It just made me wonder, out loud, about how this might influence more people to utilize these services instead of services like straight talk to the point where wimax can break even.

I think it is good for Virgin Moble to be getting the 3D. I told my friend at work, who has VM, about them getting the 3D, he got excited.

Okay guys, help me out here if you can. I did a reset on my EVO 3d today and prior to doing so I had an ICS skin that I was using, but now I can't remember where i got the apk from. I'm not rooted.

Anyone has any idea where or how to get this back on my phone? This skin looks like one of the original ones.

If it was a skin from an apk, then it should be on your SD card.

HTC Sensation is reportedly getting ICS on May 16th.... EVO 3D users - wait... wait... play the waiting game... till sometime in June??? Waaaaaaaah!

I'm pretty sure this has been settled...Visual proof that that the GSM version gets the update the last week of May, and the CDMA version gets it first half of June...or just use the VM version now...

The wife just got the one s and I haven't fell in love with it. I mean I love the way my 3vo works now. Not sure if its the sense 4.0 or the ics that I'm not digging. Her battery life isn't much better than my 3vo either. I'm almost lost trying to help her with settings and widgets. So totally different.......

Our update will be a little different. We will only be getting Sense 3.6 with ICS. Don't know how much different it will be from Sense 4.0. It will be interesting to see.

Sense 4.0 has more widgets and options. Including an offline GPS service. It's also a little smoother, IMO. The widget selection app in Sense 4.0 is a much better tool, too. The one in 3.6 is a lot like Gingerbread (where you have one long list) where 4.0 lets you select by app. So when scrolling through your list of widgets like beautiful widgets and Jorte, they don't take up your whole screen.

I would be running the 4.0 ROM instead of a 3.6 ROM if the 4.0 ROM had better bluetooth support and could run 4G.

Don't be so quick for that, I have ICS and I am not impressed with Chrome just yet, still issues with it and still in Beta, the page flickers like crazy when on main page

Def looking forward to ICS just so I can finally get chrome on my phone.

I'm still shooting for the June time-frame. I think they meant that that by July all the devices on that list would be upgraded, not saying that's when it will be. The Sprint rep seemed pretty confident behind saying June. If not, I may be in the market for a new phone anyways. Not because lack of updating Android but I always get super annoyed not having the latest and greatest =]

How does one shoot for something completely out of your control.

The link posted by Led Zappa clearly shows the time frame for the 3D specifically.

And, I had a sprint rep tell me he saw no reason why we wouldnt see it by the end of April.

I have no reason to think that end of July isn't the earliest we expect to see it at this point.
