Root ICS Beta 5.6 touchscreen problem.

BugbearTT

Newbie
Hey, what's up guys and girls? I have just recently rooted my HTC EVO 4G. Flashed ICS Beta 5.6 and everything was fine for about 4 days. Yesterday, while on Facebook for Android. I realized I couldn't click on the notifications, messages or friend requests. I thought it was notorious Facebook fail, but it isn't. I went to the Dolphin web browser. That also didn't work. To clear the notifications with the little X in the status bar doesn't work. Has anybody else encountered this issue with this ROM?

What ROM exactly are you on? Whats the name of it?

Beta 5.6 just tells us its a beta ROM, which means it still has bugs.

Mine wasn't any from XDA. I didn't even know they existed. The one that I have was created from Team Blaze. If I flash a new ROM, will I lose everything like contacts and stuff again?

You can backup contacts to your SD card, but yes you will have to go through the process of setting up your device the way you like it again.

Keep in mind NO ICS ROM is completely bug free. I'll flash them now and again to see how progess is being made, but I never use them as my daily

I just tried to reflash my stock ROM and the ICS ROM won't go away. I rebooted and did all the instructions I have found in other threads and it is still booting with the ICS ROM like nothing has changed...

Well what exactly are you wiping? Theres either a problem with the wiping procedure or a problem with the download.

I got it all taken care of now. Thanks to Chaco. My problem still is at large though. I think my phone is just malfunctioning now. I don't think I can get it fixed either.
