Is anyone working on the camera for cm9 or codename? I really havent seen any progress so far and i respect the developers but is anyone at least working on it? Also i never saw how great this community is since i switched to an htc amaze the people at XDA arent so much helpful with noobs (they hate noobs) :D

Yeah they hate noobs did you watch that video they made just for noobs ,how mean of them. Then you cant join from a sprint ip address thats bs.

Well I've got a few idea's but I'm sure Mantera would have tried what I'm thinking of. Hauwei Ideos X6 FBO our phones variant, Well the camera works in there CM9 & those roms will boot on the triumph just no 3g being as it's a GSM based rom, anyway thinking we could snatch it up out of Ideos X6 & intergrade it into our CM9 don't know if that will work, but I'm willing to give it a shot. Does anybody think this might work before I attempt it, don't wanna be working on a lost cause.

If their camera works I don't see a whole lot of reason that it wouldn't apply to our phone. The only thing I could see as being an issue is the location data or something like that.

I believe they have a different kernel version, and I believe that some of the work on the camera is in there, thus not as easy as it looks (it never is ;)).

I agree.I haven't done any work on a phone or testing but in theory if you can find a camera with the same kernal and same type of camera that can work on ICS based ROMs then you can port it or cherry pick it.But it's such a pain to do all the searching for that.It would need exact kernal+exact MP camera front and back+be on ICS ROM.

Well according to his git, it looks like mantera said screw it and is working with a .35 kernel that he forked from tjstyle. This could probably help us a lot.
