Root *****ics camera status*****

look in the ics development thread. theres ur answer.
but on topic, its getting there. someone got it working, so now we r porting although wifi isnt working...

They have it working on the Ideos x6 tj_style fixed it but the it can only take pictures. I think the devs have to wait for him to link up his source or to make 2.6.35.7 kernel to work on the Motorola Triumph I think dont quote me on this.

No, the camera isn't working on the Triumph yet. TJ_Styles ported it for the Ideos x6 (Cherry Magnum), a Malaysian phone similar to the Triumph. They are on a higher kernel than we are, the camera fixes are for that kernel. We have to patch to that kernel (not easy) then apply the changes and hope for the best.

TL;DR - The camera isn't fixed for the Triumph, but for a similar phone. The reason we aren't using it isn't because there's no wifi/video, its because it isn't compatible with our phone and the source isn't released yet.

Give me a link to that ICS Rom with the camera working and updated kernel i want to test a few things..........
 
Just curious.....have we tried pulling kernels from other phones that are running stock ICS that are at least similar to the Triumph. Just asking
 
U r the second to post this. But hard reset is turn phone off, then hold vol.
