ICS coming in 2-3 weeks...

Still have my bionic and its a POS compared to the razr maxx. Cant wait to find a razr maxx used. We have all been played so hard from day one of the supposed release of the phone. all the way til now and the release of ICS.

Everyone is welcome to express their opinions ... politely. We'd prefer that posts were adding to the discussion rather than detracting, so try to remember to consider the other guy when composing your thoughts. :D

From everything I have heard the Razr's are suffering the same data issues as the Bionics. Keep in mind, except for the screen, they are essentially the same hardware as the Bionics just in a thinner case and a non removable battery. So if a Bionic is a POS, than since theRazr's are essentially the same, they aren't going to be any better.

... worse actually.

I agree with everything you said except for the unfortunate repeat of the abbreviation in the original message.

The Razr is a superb marketing ploy to compete with the iPhone. You are prohibited from changing the battery even though it was designed so you could. (There is a battery-pull under the battery and the case is shellacked shut.) What does that mean? Eventually the battery will die and you will be forced to take it in or send it in. This will be a perfect opportunity for a sales pitch on the newest ... latest ... and greatest.

In this age of instant gratification everything is supposed to be offered up for our consumption yesterday.

Unlikely.

Yeah, the battery was the deal killer for me with the Razr. When I got my Bionic in November, they really did the hard sell trying to get me to buy the Razr, almost desperately. while the AMOLED screen was nice, bionic's screen is very good as well and everything else was identical. From my understanding, even the CPU is identical, just clocked down in the Bionic.

Yeah. I held my Bionic up to a Razr, and the whites on the AMOLED screen are more blue. I prefer the colors on the Bionic overall, but the bad subpixel layout can sometimes hurt my eyes since I can see the diagonal gridlines.

If they don't get the ICS update before the iPhone 5 comes out, then I might go that route. I am tired of the data drops!

I think that is an excellent move ... Verizon is still ironing out its problems with 4G and you have an excellent solution ... go with a brand new unproven device. Makes sense to me. Have a problem ... add some more.

Short form ... what makes you think the iPhone will be any better?

More importantly ... perhaps ... why do you think they are waiting with the iPhone release?

Don't blame the Bionic, even Motorola for the data drops. This has to be a network issue or a software issue that the ICS updates fix. Every 4G model phone has had these issues.

Yes but it has been out for a long time without a fix! They even have updated phones that came out way after the Bionic. Which ever phone, it will be on the verizon network.
