Help ICS contact names bug

[spottyelephant]

I've decided ICS is cr@p - I have it on both my Transformer and S2 and on both it's introduced a serious amount of bugs and performance decreases.

Anyway, the most pressing bug is the disappearance of contact names in the messaging app after they send me a text - it just appears as the number....does anyone have a solution for this?

Also some contacts got repeated in the contacts app...ALSO hate they way they've split out the contacts app from the phone dialer app - so much more inefficient!

Thanks!

I have same problem. After few restarts everything works fine, but for a short time. Problem will come back after few messages. :-(

If the dialer, messaging only displays numbers it means you have lost your local contact information. The phone apps basically look up all the numbers on the fly to display the name. Check that your contacts are synced and all the information is there. All your contacts are stored in a database called "Contacts Storage"
