ICS+Desire S

I reckon the Desire S may get it eventually. HTC don't have the best track record with updates, but I'm pretty sure they're made to by Google. Even if HTC don't do it, one of the ROM makers is bound to backport it. :D
 
HTC put an official memo on their Facebook page confirming the 'first wave' of HTC phones to receive ICS, Desire S was not one of them but the message seemed to be that HTC are considering other phones for wave 2, Only time will tell, some desire s users are still waiting for 2.3.5 update so don't expect it any time soon, If you want updates as soon as they are available go with Google's own phone the Nexus, (Technically made by Samsung and HTC, ver 1 and 2)
 
I'm pretty sure it well get it, but It's a matter of time, and expect a long, long wait....... did I say a long.......... wait?

The reason I think it will is because the desire got two updates so the s should as well,
personally I'm not in any rush, it happens now or later or if you root. I'd wager that older desire s hboots will be unlocked by HTC before they release it.
