Is it at all possible to "back track" from ICS to Gingerbread. This is a stock (non rooted) phone.

Not for me. My girlfriend has an Xperia Arc. Since she updated, her phone has been pants. And of course its all my fault. Any way just looking to see what we can do before she throws it against the wall
 
rule of thumb with women never touch there phones its always gunna end bad,


id say root it and install a gb rom ,.... but if she dnt like that ull end up buying her a new one cus ur ruining her life!
