Ics kp8

Gadgetcheck has been testing today and thinks its stable! :) :) :)

Hopefully won't be long then......

Sammobile posted a newwer version today (KPA) and according to comments on XDA, they have the faceunlock and video working in this version. I don't intend on trying ICS until I hear more stability comments but I may extract KPA modem and give it a try...

I can tell you now its not stable. First half an hour a had about 3 random reboots, after that it seemed to settle down. I kept loosing mobile data connection even though it said I had full signal on H, I still couldn't use browser, facebook or market. A reboot fixed it but it would only happen again after a while.

I'm not trying ICS until GC releases the CheckROM RevoHD ICS beta.

Same here. I have found a ROM I like and trust, and while I'm looking forward to ICS I want it to be as stable as possible so I'd rather wait and enjoy a great ROM rather than rush in and end up throwing my phone across the room.

I just tried the ICS on my S2 and to be honest I hate it..keep crashing and some apps won't work at all, much slow from 2.3.5 I had before updated. Will try to find way to downgrade to 2.3.6...certainly not recommend but some ppl they seem to have it work ok though, unfortunately not me!!!

Been on XXLP2 for over 24 hours now, had a couple of lock-ups at first but I'm sure that was due to sync/download bottlenecks, and 1 Launcher Pro FC after changing prefs to single home screen.

Scrolling is "stiffer" ie. less fluid/more resistance, slightly slower page loading in browser and apps etc. don't open as snappily as I'm used to in CR/Siyah... but that's just running LP2 as is. Down to 80% battery in around 15 houra since last charge and that's with what I would call moderate use, probably light to the gamers among us.

That LP1 modem is superb, particularly for phone reception, it hasn't wavered from full signal bars and calls connect at land line speed!

I'm liking ICS on first impressions and it can surely only get better, especially when the devs get customising.

I also tried LP2 for a day and found it very good for a beta. I am now back on Siyah/Checkrom because I couldnt get used to only 6 hours of battery. If you decide to test it, make sure you do a full wipe or you will run into issues!

Yeah, still not quite cooked, is it?

Definitely requires a full wipe and preferably a full PIT repartition install.
