Hi,
I have an HTC Sensation with T-Mobile UK. Last week I got an official upgrade to Android 4.0 (ICS), and everything seems to work fine except for one thing.
My native text messaging app is now having issues.
- At first it wouldn't come up at all, but after several reboots and battery pulls it did work. However some of the larger threads do not load... When I tap to open the thread I just get the "Loading..." message in the middle and nothing happens. I've tried waiting an hour to see if that makes any difference.
- When I back out of the "Loading..." screen and try to enter any other thread, the program crashes.
- Also, relatively minor but I no longer get the thread size in brackets like I used to.
Mind you, using a 3rd-party app, such as Go SMS Pro, I can access all of my messages so it's just the native app that's having issues. I'm not a fan of Go SMS Pro's interface and just want the app I used to have.
I talked with T-Mobile, and the best they could suggest was a hard reset. Surely there's a less extreme solution!
(For the avoidance of doubt, I haven't used any non-sanctioned ROMs)
Thanks,
Wassim
