ics problems

My problems are some of the same as others but there are some others.
First off pictures sent to me via text, don't open they just say downloading and never open. Secondly when browsing the internet I get a message that says I need to close a window in order to open another. Everything is slower and I mean everything.I have to constantly have to retap and swype and its just so dam annoying. I always thought an upgrade meant better, such is not the case with this update

Have you both tried a 3rd party messaging app? I use GoSMS and have been using ICS on my E4GT for months now and have no problems ever getting MMS.
 
I have had the issues with MMS stuck on 'downloading'... I found that setting it to not auto-retrieve and tapping 'download' when they come in works better. It only seems to do it if you have poor signal or are on the phone (and it is unable to download the message). It even does this on a fresh factory reset.

As for it being slow, it seems to have a few quirks that make it freeze sporadically, but it usually lags for half a second and then works fine. However, I have had a couple issues with the soft touch buttons on the bottom working correctly after unlocking from the lock screen. They work most of the time, but sometimes they won't light up and won't register a touch when you press them. Again, this is right after unlocking from a lock screen. They work flawlessly after rotating the screen or relocking and unlocking the phone. Has anyone else had this issue?

I am completely stock 4.0.4 FF18.

I rather for the stock messaging to work, it worked perfect before the update, I should not have to rely on a 3rd party app, but thanks for the suggestion, I might have to try it anyway
