ICS pushed till Q4

It is possible that VZ doesn't want a repeat as they take the majority of the heat for a bad upgrade. I understand flash probably isn't the only issue but they were apparently able to fix it in .246. Moogle didn't push it - Moogle proposed it as a final and VZW signed off on it - without extensive testing, the final say so was VZW.

Remember, your data (cellular data) network, which is how you get an OTA (aka Over The Air), is provide by VZW, not Motorola. Motorola writes the software, VZW distributes it.

The S3 looks nice, but once again, another phone that the battery can't be swapped out on. No matter how good a phone is, if the batteries dead and you have no access to an outlet, it's worse than any other phone.

I really hope not all manufactureres go this route with every phone. Rather odd as they make phones that drain the battery faster, they make it so you can't swap it out. Would also think that would cost them profits from accessories sales.
 
I think it is another potential cause for a "repair". Many people when confronted with doing the "repair" will choose to upgrade to the newest wiz-bang offering instead.

If the case was waterproof it would make sense. It isn't and therefore doesn't.

i dont want it because its the newest "thing"

i want it because of the way it looks and is designed. The look to me is sleek and not "boxy". Also, i like how fast and smooth it runs. I could give a crap less if it was released 2 years ago or last week.

I have a friend with the S3, and yes, it's a beautiful phone, but it uses the battery FAST, at least hers does.

One big reason is 2GB of RAM. While I prefer Android over iOS, I have to say I think Apple's oversight of their app store leads to cleaner apps that dont hog resources and that's why Andriod phones "need" almost as much RAM as a desktop because of horribly coded apps.

Never implied that you were. I was referring to my assumption on why Motorola chose to shellac the cover closed on the Razr. As was shown in pictures posted on the Internet the battery on the Razr has a "lifter" under it to help people swap it. It certainly seems that the original plan was to support a removable battery and then they decided to shellac the cover shut.

There are lots of phone choices out there and lots of different opinions. I suggest you go to where the ones you are interested are sold, handle them, look at the options, and buy the one that you like.
