Root [ICS][ROM] The CeltICS Flashable ROM

~ Welcome ~

I am happy to announce, the all new CeltICS Flashable ROM Project. As the name suggests, this Project started in 2nd week of May, 2012 and aimed at building a Flashable ROM for the Micromax A75 Android Device. Now, as we know Ice Cream Sandwich is very sluggish in ARMv6 Processors, So we made a way out. If we can't MOD the whole ICS ROM for our Micromax A75, then why not convert the Stock Gingerbread ROM (Android 2.3.4) to look like Ice Cream Sandwich. Since, it was a ginormous task it wasn't possible for a single person to perform it. Thus, a team of 11 Members, combined together to accomplish which was never thought was possible. And now, this Project is on the verge of completion as we release the Worlds First Super Stable, Custom Programmed Ice Cream Sandwich ROM for the Micromax A75 Android Device. We hope that every user who would use this ROM, would spread a word about it to their Friends, Relative, Co-Workers etc.

Now, it's time to Thank all the CeltICS Team Members and also, I Aayush Dutta as the CeltICS ROM Developer would personally like to thank all the user's who would use this ROM in the near future.

~ About The Name ~

Special Thanks to Project Contributor shahabazas for the most unique name for this ROM. According to him, this name travels long back to the Indo-European Reign and was connected to Culture and Languages. Now as far as history is concerned, our Micromax A75 has also traveled a long way from finding a Rooting method to Stable Recovery and now this, almost next to impossible Ice Cream Sandwich Customization. So this name closely pairs with the cellphone's history, and thus this name was decided.

~ About The Framework ~

I would like to specially thank My Co-Developer pkotenetwork for helping me out with the System Status Bar and Framework Alterations. He modified the Notification Power Buttons and the Network Icon's to make it look much better. Although other alterations are still my original, but without his help and kindness I would never have been able to complete the Status Bar. Thanks to you again pkotenetwork....

All The MOD'S for the CeltICS ROM has been made by ADProgrammer (Aayush Dutta). The know how and some guides are Original Works of Respected Developers at XDA Forums and Android Forums. No content have been taken from there guides as it is. They were just used for reference.

~ Installation Procedure ~

*****************************************************************

1) Download the Package You Wanna Flash, and then Transfer it to the Root of your SD/Transflash (External) Card.
2) Switch Off Your Cellphone and Say Goodbye to your Current ROM
3) Next, When Your Feel The Shutdown Vibration is Over Press and Hold Power Button + Volume Up Key to boot into the ClockWorkMod Recovery v5
4) You CANNOT use the Touch Screen here, so Navigation would be with the Volume Up/Volume Down Key's.
5) Navigate to the option, Clean User Data using Volume Down Key and then Press the Menu Hard Capacitive Button to Enter it.
6) Inside the option you would see an array of "NO" but only one "YES" option. Goto the "YES" option and clear it.
7) After that follow the same steps and goto the option Clean Cache. Clear it too.
8) Now, go into Advanced and clear Dalvik Cache and Battery Stats.
9) Select Go Back to come back to the Main Screen.
10) Go Up, and select Apply Update from SD Card. In the next screen select "YES".
11) Flashing would take around 3 minutes. But do not power down, remove battery. Try to maintain power at all costs, else once your power is gone during flashing. You can very much use your phone as a brick in building your own house. Just that brick alone would cost Rs. 9000... :D
12) After the Screen Displays the word Installed Update.. You are done!
13) Now the tricky part, DO NOT even try to do Fix Permissions from the Recovery. It's a sure Bootloop then.
14) Just simply after flashing, head to Reboot System and let it start up.

@ayush please from my heart.....can you please change the network icons???? It stands out so badly no matter what launcher I use. looks like a Cheap chinese version!!

If you need anything.....I will try to find it....but please change the 2 network bar icons to that used by other high-end phones. please.

I am giving a link to what I would like :)

Bro, Well that Screenshot shows that it was a Single SIM device, Dual-Sim and that look.... Wouldn't it look somewhat ODD?? Imagine??

It ain't like that yaar.

I mean I saw a MTK6575 device with dual sim + ICS.......where the icons were like that....except the other 2nd sim was a in a "deep red" colour.....but the styling was the same. I dont care bout the colour.....just the style matters. Please try for it...if its possible somehow :D

1) Changed Lockscreen (Build.prop tweak)

2) Changed Network Icons (UOT-Kitchen)

3) Changed Notification toolbar icons (APK tool & XDA developers for ICONS)

4) Added Ice Cream Sandwitch Clock (Google Play)

5) Launcher-Pro Themed to ICS style (Change ICONS of Dock bar)

6) ICS Animations (UOT-Kitchen)

7) Roboto font (UOT-Kitchen)

8) Build.prop tweak from 2.3.4 to 4.0.4 :D

9) New Loading Circle (UOT-Kitchen)

10) New USB Connected logo (APK tool & XDA developers for ICONS)

Everything done on the Base rom ADProgrammer A75@V2

Using UOT Kitchen and APKtool I have done all these things..!:D

I have the Flashable Zips for the Tweaks done from UOT-Kitchen if anybody intrested i'll post it tomorrow..!

By the trend that things are going....hopefully we can reach a level beyond ICS theming......into actual pseudo-porting!!!! :D

Nope bro, that's ain't happening yet... The A75 hasn't got enough of damn processing power! Neither it has enough RAM to store that...

And if we somehow, trim down the hefty extras from micromax funbook ROM and match the drawable's to MDPI which I can easily do, that damn battery is gonna drain in about 25 mins peak as the processor revs to full peak all the way from start to end!!
 
Guys, need feedback... Do you guys have a good Contact's management application in mind?? And yes, do tell me about the Dialer App too... Which one you want... I am waiting....
