Root ICS source code release

I downloaded the SDK and ran the virtual device emulator. Looks pretty nice. Changes aren't too drastic, but menus and browser are better.

So will us ascenders get the update?

ascend will not get a official update as the cpu is not good enough for one thing, but its barely got 2.2 and 2.3 had to be build for it, and some ascend cant handle 2.2 or 2.3, remember after the update and even before the update when cm6/7 drop, some peoples couldnt even get past the boot loader.

tht is true but now tht we know more about some issues tht some ascends have isnt there a way to work it trhough on the ics rom for the ascend?

I don't think the problem is knowing what the issues are, it's more that we haven't figured out what's causing them or how to fix them.

and also ascend has an arm 6 but ics require arm7 just like flash player requires but there is always some work around, but expect alot of bugs in the first release if it is possible.

I'm sure it can be done, but who will care enough at this point to put all the work into it that would be required? PG has a lot of projects going on these days, and I'm pretty sure the Ascend is at the bottom of the totem pole as far as priorities. In other words, don't get your hopes up for ICS on the Ascend. (just my opinion, not trying to speak for anybody)

+1 PG,ISAACJ87,&BOB ZHOME have committed a lot of time & effort bringing the ASCEND to where it is today & should be commended for it.
I too am not speaking for anyone here, just gonna offer my observations from recent postings.
The posting/pestering the DEVS concerning WHAT'S NEXT,WHAT'S NEXT is downright rude, disrespectful,& comes across as ungrateful. If one bothered to take a good look @ the HINTS that is front & center when opening up CM7,you'd see that pestering the DEVS concerning WHAT'S NEXT is frowned upon,to say the least.
To those who are wanting ETA'S on further development, try sending the developers a donation to support the cause.
Talk is cheap, development costs time & money. So,keep that in mind the next time you ask for something the developers have provided for us here, free of charge.
